CanDeal Aids AIDS Research

CanDeal, one of Canada’s leading Canadian electronic fixed income trading platforms, will hold a charity day on November 28. All revenue generated from electronic bond trading on its marketplace will be donated to the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR). Last year CanDeal participants helped generate enough money to fund a one-year research grant for Canadian HIV and AIDS research.

CANFAR was founded in 1987 to help raise awareness to generate funds for research into all aspects of HIV and AIDS. Since its origin, CANFAR has awarded more than $18 million to HIV and AIDS research projects.

“We look forward to building on the success of last year’s charity trading day to further raise awareness and research dollars for CANFAR,” said Jayson Horner, Co-Founder, President, and CEO of CanDeal. In a release distributed today he expressed, “CanDeal is in a unique position, in that we can bring together institutional investors from around the globe and all of Canada’s primary dealers to support a worthwhile cause.”

As a large corporation it is vital to give back to the community whether at the local level or global, especially when you have the means to influence large numbers of people and generate significant amounts of money for donation.

If you trade Canadian fixed income, entering trades electronically on CanDeal on November 28th generates charity dollars for CANFAR and helps support this meaningful cause. The easiest part of the charity day is the ability to donate money while still participating in the day-to-day hectic activities that surround those in the financial industry. Also consider entering voice trades electronically by sending dealer inquiries so your trades count as donations.
